Statement from Pagefreezer CEO Michael Riedijk. Over the last weeks, I have closely followed the Black Lives Matter protests motivated by the deaths of George Floyd, Rayshard Brooks, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Michael Brown, and so many other Black Americans who are victims of systemic and institutionalized racism. The movement has quickly expanded to the UK, Europe and globally, exemplifying its importance and how widespread this problem is.
Applying for a new role can be a time-consuming, overwhelming, and nerve-wracking process. We fully understand these challenges, which is why our goal is to ensure that our recruitment process is fair, inclusive, and equitable for all candidates. We view the hiring process as a two way conversation: you’re getting to know us just as much as we are getting to know you! Throughout our process you will have the opportunity to learn more about the role, our values, and our culture so you can determine if it aligns with what you are looking for in your next role and employer.
I’m extremely proud to announce that Pagefreezer is now SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 compliant. We have always made use of compliant data centers to store information, but over the last year our organization itself has now gone through the rigorous SOC 2 auditing process to achieve compliance.
Pagefreezer recently added single sign-on (SSO) as a way of logging into the Pagefreezer dashboard. This means that customers making use of an identity and access management (IAM) solution—like ADFS, OpenAM, Okta, or Ping Identity—can now use it to access their Pagefreezer accounts.
As the year draws to a close, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on everything that happened at Pagefreezer over the last 12 months. Overall, it’s been a great year for Pagefreezer. We onboarded many new customers, attended a record number of conferences, released a slew of new product updates, and welcomed some great new team members to the company.
I'm so pleased to announce that Pagefreezer has made it onto The Globe and Mail's ranking of Canada's top-growing companies. The company placed No. 211 on this inaugural ranking.
Meet Danny. If you're a Pagefreezer customer, you've very possibly interacted with Danny Ngo before. As a Customer Success Specialist, he's responsible for onboarding new clients, offering ongoing customer support, and providing weekly online training sessions for those looking to better understand the capabilities of the Pagefreezer platform. We recently spoke to him to find out how he spends his weekends, what hobbies he's into at the moment, and what it means to be the (unofficial) Pagefreezer Meme Master.
I’m extremely proud to announce that Pagefreezer has again secured a position on the coveted annual Growth 500 list, the definitive ranking of Canada’s fastest-growing companies. This is the third year in a row that we’ve made it onto this exclusive list.
Diego Marchi was one of the earliest full-time employees of PageFreezer and started out as a software developer. These days, he’s the Manager of Software Development, helping our developers expand and refine the PageFreezer platform. We spoke to him about his role, the culture at PageFreezer, and the sort of person that generally fits in well with the dev team.
We announced a little while ago that PageFreezer has earned ISO 27001:2013 certification. Now, unless you’re a compliance or IT security professional, you are probably wondering why it matters. Does it have any actual impact on the service you’re receiving? And anyway, aren’t all the vendors in our industry certified as well?
Social media has changed the way we share ideas, the way we get our news, the way we make purchases, and the way we conceptualize ourselves and our community. It has changed the way we keep in touch with our friends and family and the way we do business.
In the past year, Affinity Groups at Pagefreezer have expanded and held over 35 unique events to an audience of over 150! Affinity Groups are employee-led groups centered on a specific identity or experience, designed to build community, provide customized support, share resources, and give feedback to the organization through advocacy; you may know them as Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). By providing the opportunity to champion an identity or experience they personally resonate with in the workplace, employees are able to impact the employee experience and culture, grow their personal and professional development, and form meaningful connections through leading or participating in an Affinity group.
Social media has become a treasure trove for legal evidence, providing insights into to people's lives and behaviors, that can significantly impact investigations and litigation. Users are driven by algorithms to post engaging, often provocative content, leading to a wealth of incriminating evidence.
