PageFreezer Is ISO 27001 Certified. Here’s Why It Matters

We announced a little while ago that PageFreezer has earned ISO 27001:2013 certification. Now, unless you’re a compliance or IT security professional, you are probably wondering why it matters. Does it have any actual impact on the service you’re receiving? And anyway, aren’t all the vendors in our industry certified as well?

Meet Prescott. Like Janet from our previous Beyond the Desk interview, he’s one of PageFreezer's Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) who works with the sales team. We asked him some questions about his time at PageFreezer, and learned what he loves to do when he’s not in the office.

PageFreezer has partnered with Yext to provide the company’s customers with the ability to archive their Yext Pages for compliance. The PageFreezer for Yext app is now available through the Yext App Directory.

We're extremely excited to announce that PageFreezer has earned ISO 27001:2013 certification. ISO 27001:2013 is an information security standard published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), which specifies an information security management system (ISMS) aimed at gaining greater control over data security.

PageFreezer recently added a host of enterprise-level security features to our suite of products. The new enterprise-level security features were designed to empower our customers with even greater control over how and by who archived data is accessed. These advanced security features consist of two-factor authentication (2FA), password policy management, concurrent login management, and IP whitelisting.

Late in 2018, the Securities and Exchange Commission charged two robo-advisers with false disclosures. It wasn’t just the first time that the SEC went after these modern software-driven investment operations, it was yet another example of how important compliant social media use and recordkeeping is.

When it comes to social media and website archiving solutions for government organizations, pricing models can be rather nebulous. This is not an accident. Many archiving vendors use a strategy of charging a low fee for a small number of records, so initial prices seem very reasonable, but as soon as social media channels gain traction and see success, the organization suddenly finds itself being charged a lot more because of all the records created.
