With a background in fine arts, web and interactive media, our UX & Visual Designer, Valerie, hails from Korea and has always taken an interest in user-centered design. Working closely with both our development and marketing teams, Valerie wears many hats to ensure all outgoing content is visually appealing and representative of our brand, the perfect team member to interview for this week's Beyond the Desk.

Earlier last week, PageFreezer snagged another ranking, sitting at #24 on the SaaS1000, a list of the top growing SaaS companies.

Inc. magazine revealed yesterday that PageFreezer is No. 2322 on its 37th annual Inc. 5000, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent small businesses. Microsoft, Dell, Domino’s Pizza, Pandora, Timberland, LinkedIn, Yelp, Zillow, and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000. “As an organically growing private company in RegTech, we are really proud to have a place in the Inc.5000 list among many respected companies,” says Michael Riedijk, CEO of PageFreezer, “We only look forward to what’s yet to come as we continue to help our clients solve challenges in web & social media compliance and eDiscovery.” Not only have the companies on the 2018 Inc. 5000 (which are listed online at Inc.com, with the top 500 companies featured in the September issue of Inc., available on newsstands August 15) been very competitive within their markets, but the list as a whole shows staggering growth compared with prior lists. The 2018 Inc. 5000 achieved an astounding three-year average growth of 538.2 percent, and a median rate of 171.8 percent. The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue was $206.1 billion in 2017, accounting for 664,095 jobs over the past three years. Seems like everyday now, we hear about another big retailer declaring bankruptcy or closing down a large percentage of their brick and mortar locations, transferring that capital to the online strategy. Some are calling it the retail apocalypse…Radio Shack, Payless Shoes, Kmart, Michael Kors. JC Penney…and so many more – in 2017 alone, more than 6000 stores have been closed.
